Meet heather
With over 15 years of design experience, I have spent the last 10 years in the fashion industry leading the overall visual direction & brand voice for a sustainable-focused retail brand. Taking a holistic approach to design, I am able to view the full picture from concept to creation. I have worked in both B2C and B2B verticals and am well-versed in the needs of both the direct consumer and the buyer.
I love collaborating with fellow creatives and empowering them to bring ideas to life. I balance work with family life— spending time with my talented husband Mike, daughter Penny and pup Josi in our restored bungalow in the city.
My journey
With a start in publication and agency roles, I grew my skills while narrowing my focus toward art direction. Through inspirational mentors and leaders, I have gained abundant knowledge while working through many roles within both agency and in-house settings. The most valuable skill I have learned is understanding the key to all success is through collaboration.
Bridging art direction and design, I bring a hybrid approach that emphasizes creative direction and authentic human connection. My experience with smaller companies has allowed me to think big, delivering fresh, thoughtful perspectives within corporate environments. Now, as a freelancer, I partner with a range of clients—helping them bring their brands to life with clear, thoughtful design
